What Is This Blog?

The decision to start my own blog was one that, unbeknownst to me at the beginning, required lots of planning. I hadn't thought about, for instance, the process of designing a website, developing a color scheme, etc., etc (don't even get me started about coding!) But one of the problems I hadn't accounted for was the content of this blog.


Lots of friends and family wanted to stay up-to-date on my travels cross country to New York - and I wanted to write about it. I struggled, however, with other blog post ideas until an insightful conversation with my boyfriend in which he helped me realize this: this blog my blog can be whatever I want it to be.

Why feel pressured to be like every other blog? Why constraint myself to just a few topics?

So, what is this blog?

A place for you.

Hopefully, this blog will be a place for you to find solace in - read for fun, read for advice, read for inspiration. Whatever you choose to read this blog for, I hope you feel at home here. 

A place for me. 

Writing has always held a special place in my heart, As someone who is planning to minor in journalism, I thought blogging would be the perfect way to keep writing before I can declare my minor and to express myself. 

This blog is special to me: it's like getting a glimpse into my life and a glimpse into my heart. I sincerely hope you love it as much as I do.
